Description
It’s always an honour to be made responsible for the centrepiece of a home, and in this case the home was barely visible during the commissioning process.
Working on high value creative projects while a site is under construction makes the creation of 3D visualisations key to bringing the client directly into an experience of the final product. As such, ranges of digitally scaled sculptures can be seen within the finished space without having to build 3D models or travel into the future.
Virtually emplacing Corroboree Dance within a reflection pond beneath a wide circular sky-light and surrounded by the main rooms of the unbuilt house ensured that the client knew exactly what they were commissioning, and how it would look when the work was finally installed. And as the artwork can be seen from all surrounding rooms, the scale, position, and patina needed to be planned to perfection.
